Customer Racing Activities – 2025/#18
From thrilling battles in the Clio Cup Series in Dijon to the podium in the FIA European Rally Championship and numerous successes at all levels, Clio again shone brightly, delivering top-flight performances last weekend.
Clio Cup Series
The second meeting of the Clio Cup Series provided a magnificent spectacle with titanic battles for victory at the Dijon-Prenois Circuit. David Pouget (GPA Racing) and Nicolas Milan (Milan Compétition) emerged victorious from these thrilling encounters in Burgundy, where Gaël Castelli (Milan Compétition) and Alex Lancellotti (GPA Racing) also starred, sharing the honours in the season-opener for Clio Cup Italia.

FIA European Rally Championship
Clio Rally3 scored its maiden European podium this season at the Rally Hungary. Fast and consistent throughout the event, Hubert Kowalczyk and Jarosław Hryniuk took third place in ERC3 to move up to third in the championship, just 11 points adrift of the leaders. Finns Ville Vatanen and Jarno Ottman set the fastest time in SS12 and finished fourth, while Błażej Gazda and Michał Jurgała made it three Clio Rally3s in the top five. Meanwhile, the Clio Rally5 of the Romanian duo Artur Luca and Mihai Supuran won in RC5.
Italian Junior Rally Championship
The Targa Florio hosted the third of six rounds of the Campionato Italiano Assoluto Rally Junior. In a field made up entirely of Clio Rally5 cars serviced by Motorsport Italia, Giacomo Marchioro and Daniele Conti scored their maiden victory with a decisive performance in the second leg. Matteo Greco and Edoardo Brovelli finished second to claim the championship lead ahead of Sebastian Dallapiccola and Fabio Andrian. Michele Cortese and Salvatore Cancemi won their class on the same roads with the CRZ version of the Clio Rally5. The championship will return at the San Marino Rally (12-13 July).

Slovak Rally Championship
Held in the Czech Republic, the opening round of the Slovak Rally Championship saw Clio Rally3 win its class with Artur Długosz and Mateusz Martynek at Rallysprint Kopná. The crew’s solid performance was good enough for seventh place among the competitors competing on the Slovak national scene. On the special stages around Slušovice, Clio Rally5 also took a one-two finish in RC5, led by Jiří Hladík and Veronika Teplá.
French Rally Cup
On home soil, Clio Rally3 and Clio Rally5 shone at the Rallye Dieppe Normandie, with Théau Poiriez and Margot Delnieppe leading a sweep of the podium in Rally3 and a block out of the top five in Rally5 led by Denmark’s Oliver Sørensen and Frederik Bülow Glad.
Still in France, Clio Rally3 and Clio Rally5 won their respective classes with Thierry Cassard - Maxime Guigon and Axel Delaporte - Clémence Marechal at the Rallye de Bligny-sur-Ouche. The two models were also victorious on Reunion Island with the duos Stéphane Sam-Caw-Freve - Laurent Robert and Elona Ginet - Maëva Dupuy at the Rallye de Sainte-Suzanne.
Clio Rally4 was not to be outdone at the Rallye des Monts de Blond, with victory for Christopher Touvron and Ophélia Chaigne coupled with that of Romain Auvert and Maxime Belivier in their Clio Rally5. Renault customers scored another double victory at the Rallye des Monts de Vaucluse, with Claude and Patricia Benedetto in Rally4 and Sylvain Rouquette and Marjorie Mercier in Rally5. Lastly, Clio Rally5 also won the Rallye Ain-Jura with Jérémy Lafarge and Adélie Terrier, as well as the Rallye de Printemps Canet with Alexis Poso and Stéphane Maillé.
And elsewhere …
Clio Rally3 finished second overall with João Borges and Flávio Mota at the Rali Ilha Azul, round two of the Azores Rally Championship. The duo also took top honours in RC3 and the Troféu de Terra. Staying in Portugal, Clio Rally4 won the 2WD and RC4 classes with Vasco Silva Jr and Tiago Fernandes at the Rali Município de São Vicente to take the lead in the Madeira Two-Wheel Drive Rally Championship. In the same event, Clio Rally5 won its class with André Freitas and Agostinho Bettencourt.
Clio Rally3 and Clio Rally5 also set the pace in their respective classes with Mitja Glasenčnik - Matej Pistotnik and Luka Brus - Tadej Zaljuberšek at the Rally Vipavska dolina (Slovenia) and Roberto Benazzo - Giampaolo Francalanci and Matteo Solis - Christian Trivellato at the Rally delle Palme (Italy). Clio Rally5 won with Álvaro Castro and Ricardo Rey at the Rallye da Mariña (Spain) as part of the Galician Rally Championship, not to mention the double victory in 2WD and P2-4 for Carlos Rafael Marreiros and Ricardo Barreto at the Rali Cidade de Portimão (Portugal).
