Renault Clio continues its summer success on both the circuits and in special stages. From Finland to Magny-Cours via Germany, France, Italy, Portugal and Spain, the different versions have again demonstrated top-flight performances!

FIA World Rally Championship

Twelve Clio Rally3s started the Secto Rally Finland, where Ville Vatanen and Jarno Ottman impressed on home soil with five stage wins and a third-place finish in WRC3. Their countrymen Leevi Lassila and Antti Linnaketo also won a stage and rounded out the top five in the category.

The three official crews were also in action. Serious and focused on their debut in the fastest round of the calendar, Arthur Pelamourgues and Bastien Pouget finished sixth and moved up to second in the championship. Tom Pellerey and Hervé Faucher were denied a chance to build on their momentum on Saturday, but still caused a stir with the fastest time in SS6 and the second fastest time in Ouninpohja. Lastly, Matteo Chatillon and Maxence Cornuau won the first timed sector before having their hopes dashed by a technical issue.

Meanwhile, Clio Rally4 dominated RC4 with Jarkko Nikara and Tomiya Maekawa before their accident, while Clio Rally5 claimed its 31st international victory with Jari Jaakkola and Tatu Nukki in RC5.

Clio Cup Series

Rangoni Corse continued its almost perfect summer with two more victories, courtesy of Gabriele Torelli and Anthony Jurado at the Circuit Nevers Magny-Cours. Aurelien Renet also shared the honours with Anthony Jurado in the Clio Cup France, and with Alexandre Finkelstein in the Clio Cup Mid-Europe at round six of the season. While everything remains undecided in many categories ahead of the summer break, Ronan Deslandes became this year’s first champion, clinching the Clio Cup France Juniors title.
