Three on the bounce for Rasoamaromaka
Clio Trophy France Terre leader Mika Rasoamaromaka makes it three wins in a row at Rallye Terre de Lozère. With his co-driver Mélissa Declerck, the Madagascan took the lead from the opening stage before managing his pace to prevail ahead of his main title rivals. The Fun Meca Sport driver extends his lead in the general classification ahead of the next round, Rallye Terre des Cardabelles (October 10-12).
After a long summer break, the Clio Trophy France Terre resumed with a 20-car field for the third round of the season. Following the shakedown and scrutineering, Jean Lavigne, Anthony Rovina, Nicolas Hebrard, and Thomas Mouysset each won a Michelin LTX Force T XL92 tire, in addition to their starting allocation, in a draw organised by Ceerta, Michelin Motorsport’s official distributor in the French Rally Championship.
Winner in the Causses and Corsica, Mika Rasoamaromaka picked up where he left off under threatening skies in Mende. The Madagascan was quickest in the first three stages on Saturday morning to return to the service park with an 11.4-second lead over Florian Bouchonneau, second fastest in all three timed sectors. The latter claimed SS4 to reduce his deficit to 8.2s, but Mika Rasoamaromaka fought back on the second pass through Goudard before hammering home his advantage in Causse and Chanac, where several competitors suffered punctures. With an excellent drive, the Fun Meca Sport driver increased his lead to 51.3s while Florian Bouchonneau found himself under threat from Anaël Cayla.
In much warmer and sunnier conditions on Sunday, Mika Rasoamaromaka lost around 30 seconds on the iconic Born special stage, run in the opposite direction this year. Anaël Cayla, meanwhile, struck hard and took second place, closing the gap on the leader to 23.3s. The difference remained the same in the Allenc stage, where 17-year-old Alexandre Villiod notched his first stage win.
Mika Rasoamaromaka was more incisive in the decisive loop, setting the fastest time in Le Born 2 before pacing himself to seal his third consecutive victory. Fourth in Les Causses and then third in Aléria, Anaël Cayla nevertheless confirmed his rising form, finishing second ahead of Florian Bouchonneau, who secured his third consecutive podium finish. Further back, Thomas Eustaquio won a thrilling duel with Anthony Rovina. Behind this group of five Juniors, Christophe Truchet finished sixth, followed by Nicolas Hebrard and Ludovic De Luca, now a two-time winner in the Gentlemen category. Lucas Aymard and Alexandre Brossy completed the top ten.
Unbeaten in 2025, Mika Rasoamaromaka increased his lead at the top of the Clio Trophy France Terre and is now 44 points ahead of Florian Bouchonneau. The Madagascan also took more "Performer Jean Ragnotti" points than anybody else to take the lead in this classification. His triumph ahead of his teammate Anaël Cayla also sees Fun Meca Sport pull away in the team standings. Lastly, the performances of Florian Bouchonneau and Christophe Truchet increased Agence De Luca’s lead in the Renault Network Challenge.
At the same time, the Lozère special stages saw Clio Rally3 win the RC3 category and the Trophée GT2i CFRT FFSA in the French Gravel Rally Championship. Leading from start to finish, Michaël Lobry and Gaëtan Parade avoided the hazards to secure a double hat-trick for the model and finish in the overall top ten.
The Clio Trophy France Terre returns at Rallye Terre des Cardabelles (October 10-12) for the penultimate round of the calendar. Next week, the Clio Trophy France Asphalte will also make its return at Rallye Mont-Blanc Morzine (September 4-6).
Mika Rasoamaromaka: "Our goal was to win, but this victory didn’t happen on its own. A lot of work went into it beforehand, and it paid off. Thank you to Fun Meca Sport, Mélissa, all the people around us for providing us with a fast car, and all our supporters in Madagascar. We built our rally just like the first two: by being very fast on the first leg, then managing things more carefully the next day. The challenge was finding the right balance on Sunday, and we lost a little too much time trying to play it safe. That’s something we need to work on between now and Rallye Terre des Cardabelles, where my goal will be to secure a fourth consecutive victory. I’d be lying if I said that wasn’t my goal!"
