Semi-finals: Vettel - Prost. Vote!

The last semi-final in our Greatest Formula Renault Graduate tournament will be a match up of two four-time Formula 1 world champions.

Today’s head-to-head offers a magnificent battle between France’s Alain Prost and Germany’s Sebastian Vettel.

Top seeds #2 and #3 at the beginning of the tournament, they cumulate eight of the seventeen world titles won by the Formula Renault drivers.

Voting is open for 24 hours just until Friday June 5th, 14:00 CET. We will reveal the results shortly after before the Grand Finale!

Sebastian Vettel
Right from his Formula Renault 3.5 Series debut during the 2006 season, Sebastian Vettel caused a sensation by finishing second in his first race and then winning the following day. Injured at the following round at Spa, he returned in 2007. He dominated the general classification, but the world of Formula 1 already beckoned. His debut with BMW convinced Toro Rosso to sign him up. A year later, the German won his first Grand Prix at Monza before winning four straight world titles between 2010 and 2013, each time with a Renault V8!

Alain Prost
The first Formula Renault driver to become F1 World Champion, Alain Prost demonstrated the full extent of his talent right from his first season in single-seater racing. “The Professor” won 12 of the 13 races to win the French Formula Renault Championship before confirming his success by winning the Formula Renault Europe Challenge in 1977. Three years later, he got his start in F1 where he scored his maiden win with Renault, his first three titles with McLaren and his last with Williams-Renault in 1993.
