Charles Leclerc
Right from his single-seater debut, Charles Leclerc has turned heads. Second and top Junior in the 2014 Formula Renault 2.0 Alps, he also shined as a wildcard in the Formula Renault Eurocup. With three podium finishes from six starts, he could have finished in the top ten of the general classification while having competed in less than half of the season. Unsurprisingly, four years later the Monegasque made his way to F1 where he is now one of the biggest up-and-coming stars.
Jacques Laffite
Winner of the Formula Renault Criterium and second in the Formula Renault European Challenge in 1972, Jacques Laffite was the first Formula Renault driver to go on to win a Grand Prix. A stalwart of the French Connection, he skyrocketed to the summit of motorsport just two years later. A GP winner in 1977, Jacques Laffite battled for the world title in 1979 and 1981 before his F1 career came to an end on the day he equalled the record of F1 participations.
