Customer Racing Activities – 2025/#12
From Spain to Ecuador via Cyprus, Germany, Italy and Portugal, Clio Rally3, Clio Rally4, and Clio Rally5 continue to confirm their competitive edge and reliability to rack up successes no matter the surface.
Clio Trophy Spain Asfalto
Season six of Clio Trophy Spain Asfalto started last weekend with the victory of José Javier Pérez and Miriam Antelo among the 11 crews entered in the Rally La Llana. As part of the opening round of the Spanish Tarmac Rally Championship, the Levante native and new Andalusian co-driver claimed their maiden success with Clio Rally5, finishing ahead of the duo of Francisco Puertas and Pere Requena. 2023 gravel trophy winners Ramón Cornet and Daniel Noguer completed the podium in their home rally. Leaders on Friday before a three-minute penalty, Álvaro Pérez and Manuel Estévez ended up seventh and are already looking forward to taking their revenge at the next event, the Rallye Recalvi Rías Baixas (4-5 July).

German Rally Championship
Victorious in the opening two rounds of the DMSB Rally Cup, Clio Rally3 extended its winning streak in Germany, with Carsten Mohe and Andrea Lieber taking top honours in RC3 at the ADAC Rallye Erzgebirge. Fourth overall, the crew led a 1-2 for the model at the Deutsche Rallye Meisterschaft season-opener. On the same roads, Felix Schumann and Hans-Peter Loth finished in the top five in the 2WD category with Clio Rally4. Matteo Müller and Willy Konstantin Wirth won RC5 in their Clio Rally5.
Cyprus Rally Championship
Winners of the first event on the calendar last month at the East Safari Rally, Petros Panteli and Antonis Chrysostomou won again overall with Clio Rally3 at the Tiger Rally. Leader from start to finish, the Cypriot duo won by more than two minutes over Andreas Psaltis and Andreas Chrysostomou, who secured the grand slam of stage wins and a 1-2 for Clio Rally3.
Ecuador Rally Championship
Seven Clio Rally5s competed in the Rally del Azuay. On the special stages around Tarqui and Nabón, Andrés and Mateo Gómez were the fastest in the RC5 class and finished seventh overall. The brothers finished ahead of Henry Ordoñez and Juan Ochoa, winners of the season’s opening round. Juan Fernando Arizaga and Marcel Ordoñez made it an all-Clio Rally5 podium in its class.
Italian Gravel Rally Championship
The Rally della Val D’Orcia, round two of the Italian Gravel Rally Championship, saw Marco Scalzotto and Rudy Tessaro lead a class 1-2 for Clio Rally5. On the same stages, Ludwig Zigliani and Sara Montavoci continued their learning process in Clio Rally3 ahead of their next fixture, the Rally Adriatico (3-4 May).
Portuguese Rally Championship
Clio Rally5 also won on the Rallye Casinos do Algarve, round two of the Portuguese Rally Championship. Third in the Juniors, Luís Caetano and David Monteiro were the fastest in RC5 to exact their revenge on Pedro Gastão and Marco Macedo, winners earlier in the month at the Rali Serras de Fafe. Meanwhile, Vasco Tintim and Francisco Ponte led their Clio Rally5 to victory in P2-4.
French Rally Cup
In France, Christophe Monnin and Marc-Émilien Choudey were the tandem to beat among the 15 Clio Rally5s entered for the Rallye Pays du Gier, with many crews preparing their future campaign in the Clio Trophy France Asphalte. Clio Rally5 also won with Éric Sauteur and Cindy Millac at the Rallye Cœur des Bastides, where Thomas Vergines and Marine Brouel scored a class podium in their Clio Rally4.
And elsewhere
Clio Rally3 excelled at the Rebenland Rally (Austria), where Hermann Gaßner Jr and Michael Wenzel won in RC3. Fifth overall, the German duo also won in the Austrian Rally Cup, while Poland’s Artur Długosz and Mateusz Martynek won CEZ2. Meanwhile, Clio Rally3 triumphed in the Rally3 and U-25 classes with Nicola Morlacchi and Diego Esposito at the Rally Prealpi Orobiche (Italy), where Clio Rally5 also won with Michel Della Maddalena and Romano Belfiore.
Clio Rally4 achieved three class podium finishes with Emanuel Garcia and Nélson Dinis at the Além Mar Rali (Portugal), Noé Armas and Efrain González at the Rally Villa de Santa Brígida (Spain) and Max Schumann and Ann Felke at the ADAC Rallye Südliche Weinstrasse (Germany). In the latter event, Clio Rally5 also won the RC5 with Alexander Kazmierzak and Tobias Andres, as it did with Jacob Egholm and Erik Larsen in the Dansk Rally Sprint Cup Øst (Denmark).
