What are you responsible for in your job? What does that involve, what do you do, who with?
"I’m involved in the analysis and testing of low-code Microsoft Power platform solutions to optimise and digitize internal business processes. I collaborate with various departments of the business to evaluate and improve internal workflows and processes. I work alongside my team’s Power Platform developers who are involved in app build; I manage app deployment, release, and continuous improvement. We have worked on projects with finance, project delivery, aero, and the quality teams so far."

Describe a typical day in your job.
"A typical day would consist of a lot of cross-functional collaboration between various members of the team and various sub-team – this means meetings with various parts of the business, scheduling, and prioritising tasks. No matter the scheduling. The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced and so we adapt ourselves and our day-to-day tasks to match pace; there would be some days where we don’t have many meetings, have focus times booked in and others where we are constantly in meetings and support calls."

How did you get the job? What is your background and why did you take this job?
"I got my bachelor’s in IT from India and then moved to Paris for my Master’s degree in Project Management. I’ve always been a fan of Formula 1 since I was young but never would’ve imagined in my wildest dreams to be working for an F1 team. After graduating my Master’s in France, I was set for a challenge and wanted to move countries for work. Alpine F1 has a huge fan base in France, of course, and I had come across the job offer on their career’s page. I was initially quite sceptical since I was an anomaly in every sense - I do not have a degree from a British University, neither am I European, nor from a motorsport background. I thought my chances at landing the job would be low - but I am so thankful that I took the shot in the dark, believed in my skills, and applied for the role. Alpine F1 team is truly inclusive and fair in their recruitment processes and I would urge candidates to apply based on their skillset and not let any limiting beliefs stop them from pursuing a career in F1."

What is your most memorable moment…
"Esteban’s win at the Hungarian GP in 2021. I witnessed the first win for the team since having joined them earlier that year and it was surreal."

And the worst part of your job…?
"I would be lying if I said there’s anything I would define as ‘the worst’ thing about the job."

The best part of your job then…
"The work environment is so fast paced, dynamic and thrilling to work in. The sense of team spirit is so strong and infectious, it really plays into our strengths and helps us achieve wins on a daily basis. Laser sharp focus combined with teamwork is what keeps me highly spirited and motivated."

What do you do after work? How do you unwind?
"Since my job requires me to be working with screens all day, I like to stay away from it as much as possible after work. I find joy in cooking, reading books and spending time with family."

What do you do before going to sleep?
"I end my days with a nourishing skin/hair care routine and put my phone on DND.

Plan B… If you weren’t doing your job, what would you have done instead?
"Ceramics design. It was my first option for my bachelor’s degree but here we are in the world of IT in F1! I do mould clay as a hobby, so I guess that settles it."
