The attractions of the Renault Village #3: R.S. is Game
At every World Series by Renault meeting, the Renault Village gives spectators an in-depth look into the world of the French carmaker. The Village’s five exhibition areas and many games and activities give race-goers an opportunity to discover the fascinating history, values and scope of the Renault range, providing an entertaining backdrop to the action out on the track.
R.S. is Game is the largest and also the most fun-packed of the five activity zones that make up the Renault Village. From nine in the morning to six in the evening, the Oreca team staffing the area welcome spectators to its many attractions, each of which takes visitors on a journey of discovery into the Renault Sport world.
If you fancy yourself as a bit of a mechanic, then you can try your hand at the Pitstop Challenge. Forming part of a team of four, you’ll race against the clock in removing and fitting wheelnuts with the aid of a pneumatic wheelgun, the aim being to complete the pitstop in the quickest time. As you’ll find out for yourself, it’s no easy task to change a wheel as fast as the pros do.
While the Pitstop Challenge is definitely one for the adults, R.S. is Game has plenty to offer for race fans of all ages. Young guns can get to grips with the joystick in the Formula One game, while older children (1.30 metres and over) can put themselves in the drivers’ shoes with the Renault 5 Maxi Turbo, Clio Cup, Megane Trophy and F1 simulators.
A star attraction for racing lovers young and old, R.S. is Game has a whole host of attractions that faithfully recreate the action on the track. And if you can’t make it to a World Series by Renault meeting, then do not despair: the Asphalt8 game lets you take to the wheel of the Clio R.S. 200 EDC for a spot of virtual racing that is guaranteed to get the adrenaline flowing.
And there’ll be more virtual thrills and spills on offer before the end of the year, with Renault Sport set to launch yet more video game fun. Watch this space!
