Renault Sport Technologies sets a new standard with the Twingo R2 Evo
Designed for all markets, the Twingo R2 Evo has taken all the qualities the Twingo R2 is known for and enhanced them: performance, road-handling, adaptability, cost and upkeep.
In bringing out this revamped version of the Twingo R2, Renault Sport Technologies has worked in conjunction with Sodemo to develop a 1.6 litre non turbo-charged engine block with a power output of 190 bhp and a maximum torque just above 180 Nm.
Entirely overhauled and resized, the brake system is more efficient and guarantees consistent performance in even the most demanding conditions.
With its front and rear-end ball joints combined with Ohlïns hydraulic stop-cup shock absorbers, the Twingo R2 Evo handles even more efficiently on all types of road surfaces.
In response to the growing expectations of its customers, Renault Sport Technologies has put a special emphasis on reliability and quality, while managing to keep the price to suit tight budgets.
Currently awaiting competition approval, which is due on 1 March 2012, the Twingo R2 Evo will be marketed as a complete kit or as a kit for adapting the existing Twingo R2.
A basic R2 kit will be appearing on the market very shortly, with new Evo pieces to be added at the start of March 2012.
In launching the Twingo R2 Evo, Renault Sport Technologies is aiming to set the pace in the R2 group, on both asphalt and gravel.
