Enzo Libner seals his first win in the Twingo R1 Rallycross

Despite heading into the Touraine meeting as the leader of the French Junior Rallycross Championship, Fabien Grosset-Janin failed to make it through the first two qualifying sessions, with his best time in his final lap falling short of the grade needed to make the finals.

Cyril Raymond, meanwhile, posted the two fastest times, followed by Julien Debin with the next two best times. Enzo Libner, Julien Anodeau, Pascal Huteau and Firmin Cadeddu took the remaining places in the top six, with Aurélien Crochard and Tom Daunat joining them in Final A.

It was Enzo Libner who stole the initiative from the start, however, surprising his rivals by surging from third position into the lead on the first bend, ahead of Cyril Raymond and Julien Debin. He dominated the seven-lap race and mastered the Joker Lap, recording his first victory in the Twingo R1 Rallycross Cup and the French Junior Rallycross Championship.

Cyril Raymond took second place at Pont-de-Ruan and moved to the top of the leaderboard in the French Junior Rallycross Championship, three points ahead of Fabien Grosset-Janin and Aurélien Crochard.

Cyril Raymond also took first place in the Twingo R1 Rallycross Cup, moving ahead of Julien Anodeau (who finished third at Pont-de-Ruan) and Fabien Grosset-Janin.

Renault secured a double victory in the Super 1600 category through Jean-Baptiste Dubourg (Clio) and David Olivier (Twingo). With only three races to go until the end of the season, the two drivers currently stand first and second in the overall rankings.
The next race is at the Rallycross meeting in Mayenne on 7 and 8 September 2013.
