Cyril Raymond breaks clear

Cyril Raymond scored his third victory of the year to extend his lead in both the French Junior Rallycross Championship and Twingo R1 Rallycross Cup standings. Turning in a polished performance in Sunday’s A Final at Mayenne, he crossed the line first from Aurelien Crochard and Pascal Huteau.

Cyril Raymond dominated the qualifying heats to claim pole position for the A Final from Aurelien Crochard and Tom Daunat, with Julien Anodeau, Firmin Cadeddu and Aymeric Armange lining up behind them.

Enzo Libner and Pascal Huteau joined them on the grid thanks to respective first and second places in the B Final, while Fabien Grosset-Janin missed out after only finishing third.

Aurelien Crochard’s fast start gave him the lead from Cyril Raymond and Enzo Libner, though poleman Raymond moved back in front on the joker lap and stayed there to record win number three of the season.

The championship leader was joined on the podium by Aurelien Crochard and Pascal Huteau, with Enzo Libner taking fourth ahead of Tom Daunat, Firmin Cadeddu, Julien Anodeau and Aymeric Armange.

Finishing 15th overall, Lucie Grosset-Janin was the first female driver home, followed by Sandra Vincent (20th overall) and Manuele Closmenil (21st).
