50 000 spectators celebrate the opening round of season 10!
Season ten of the World Series by Renault began with the same success as the preceding editions. The on track action and multitude of attractions for the entire family paced this first meeting of the year, held at the Motorland Aragón circuit. The 50,000 spectators on hand could take in the Infiniti Red Bull Racing F1 Show animated by Antonio Félix da Costa, and hail the weekend winners: Carlos Sainz and Oliver Rowland in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series, Nyck de Vries and Andrea Pizzitola in Formula Renault 2.0 and the insatiable Oscar Nogues in the Eurocup Clio!
Ricardo Gondo, Managing Director of Renault Iberia: “The World Series is more than motor races; it is a big event for enthusiasts and families. It is an opportunity to demonstrate the savoir-faire of the Renault brand in terms of technology, innovation and competition. It is a Free, Fast and Fun event, that is to say very accessible for the public. Proximity with the customers is in the Renault DNA. Our dealer network played an active role in the event. I am also surprised to see that the other cities in the region got the word out, which resulted in 50,000 spectators coming to Alcañiz! Some enthusiast came from great distances to make this event a proper success, and I thank them.”
